What is the best money you spent in May?

I can’t say May was a great month. In fact, friends and I joked that it was the month that just kept getting worse, and somehow, it kept delivering.

Needless to say, I’m ready for a little bit of a better time in June. But there were a few standout moments last month, including multiple dinners with friends I hadn’t seen in a while, a bachelor party, a quick trip to Philly, and attending a dear friend’s grad school graduation ceremony.

I bought my friend flowers for the latter, and took an Uber to the ceremony and back. Though it was in the Bronx, where I live, the public transportation options are not the best up here, and there was no real way to get there economically. But it was more than worth it.

It was a good reminder to prioritize those types of events and show up for friends when it matters.
