October 2026 will go down as a truly magical month in NYC. We were treated to weeks of 60-degree days and sunny skies, and I was trying to take in the perfect weather as much as I could.
All that to say, the best money I spent was anything to do with being outside: Walking to get an afternoon coffee, having drinks on restaurant patios, and all that good stuff.
The runner up: The money I spent on a trip to Las Vegas, where I moderated a panel and had a great couple of days with my mom.
This month, most of my discretionary budget will go toward holiday gifts; I am planning to buy some of them on my upcoming trip to San Francisco. (Speaking of which, I have a few spots I want to hit, but if anyone has SF recommendations, let me know!)
